Our Stair Refinishing Process:

1. Protect surrounding areas from dust and debris.
2. Sand all wooden surfaces where stain will be applied to completely remove the old finish.
3. Repair minor imperfections as needed.
4. Vacuum and clean the sanded surfaces.
5. Apply your chosen stain colour.
6. Protect the stained surfaces with multiple coats of durable clear finish after the stain has dried completely.
7. Mask the stained surfaces. Prime the risers, stringers, and spindles with a bonding, stain-blocking primer.
8. Paint the risers, stringers, and spindles with a durable, scuff-resistant paint.
9. Perform a final inspection and clean up the work area.
